Happy Feast of The Presentation of the Lord Christ in the Temple + One of the 7 Minor Feast of our Lord Forty days after the Feast of the Nativity, we celebrate this feast on which the Holy Virgin Mary offered sacrifices as prescribed by the Mosaic Law. Our Lord was met by Simeon the Elder and Anna the Prophetess (Lk. 2:22-36).Like Simeon the Elder, we too can claim our meeting with the Lord through the Divine Sacraments in the Church and can say that our eyes have seen the salvation of God in the Person of our Lord Jesus Christ.“Lord, now You are letting Your servant depart in peace according to Your word. For my eyes have seen Your salvation which You have revealed to all peoples. A light to bring revelation to the Gentiles, and the glory of Your people, Israel”-Luke 2:29-32 ... See MoreSee Less

On this day we Commemorate the Martyrdom of the 21 Martyrs of Libya (February 15, 2015)+ The 21 martyrs of Libya travelled to Libya to support their families. They did not go for riches to secure. Rather they travelled to Libya out of the need to provide the necessities for their families. The 21 martyrs of Libya could drink of the cup and be baptized with the blood. These martyrs in a single moment of time with a single event spread the Holy Gospel to the entire world. AND THE WORLD LISTENED. They earned their heavenly reward, drank from the cup and were baptized with the blood in the most brutal of actions. “Then they will deliver you to tribulation, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations because of My name sake.”-Matthew 24:9 ... Happy and Blessed feast of the Wedding at Cana of Galilee, it is one of the Seven Minor Feasts of our Lord. At this wedding, water was transformed into unsweetened wine. This was the first miracle of our Lord Christ in His great ministry, as stated in the gospel of St. John: “Jesus did this, the first of his signs, in Cana of Galilee, and revealed his glory; and his disciples believed in him” (John 2:11). Through this miracle, the divinity of the Lord Christ was revealed in His ability to transform substance ... See MoreSee Less

The Feast of CircumcisionThis feast commemorates the circumcision of our Lord Jesus Christ Who was born according to the flesh; and was circumcised on the eighth day, in fulfillment of the law.St. Paul writes to the Corinthians:
“Was anyone called while circumcised? Let him not become uncircumcised. Was anyone called while uncircumcised? Let him not be circumcised. Circumcision is nothing; and uncircumcision is nothing, but keeping the commandments of God is what matters” (I Corinthians 7:19).The Feast of Circumcision is one of the seven minor feasts of the Lord that the church celebrates in them, the Lord Christ. ...
